Precision: Community

Community Resources

Aldo Leopold Foundation

A conservation organization that works to inspire an ethical relationship between people and nature through Aldo Leopold’s legacy.

Beehive Design Collective

The Beehive Design Collective is a wildly motivated, all-volunteer, activist arts collective dedicated to “cross-pollinating the grassroots” by creating collaborative, anti-copyright images for use as educational and organizing tools. They work as word-to-image translators of complex global stories, shared through conversations with affected communities.

ecoartspace has served as a platform for artists addressing environmental issues since 1999. In 2020 they transitioned to a membership-based organization. Students, artists, advocates, professionals, galleries and institutions are invited to join those who are concerned about the natural world.

Green Mountain Club

The mission of the Green Mountain Club is to make the Vermont mountains play a larger part in the life of the people by protecting and maintaining the Long Trail System and fostering, through education, the stewardship of Vermont’s hiking trails and mountains.

Neighborhood Ecology Corps

Neighborhood Ecology Corps uses enjoyable, unique and stimulating activities to excite students about ecology, science and environmental stewardship. We take weekly expeditions into the natural world to learn more about the relationship between your neighborhood and nature.

Vermont Food Education Every Day

Vermont Food Education Every Day is a community-based approach to school food system change in a rural state through a collaboration of three Vermont nonprofits. VT FEED works with schools and communities to raise awareness about healthy food, the role of Vermont farms and farmers, and good nutrition.

What is missing?

What Is Missing? is a multi-sited memorial created by Maya Lin to raise awareness through science-based artworks about the present sixth mass extinction of species, connect this loss of species to habitat degradation and loss, and emphasize that by protecting and restoring habitat, we can both reduce carbon emissions and protect species.

YouthBuild champions today’s opportunity youth who aspire to improve their lives and communities but lack the knowledge, skills, and resources to reach their full potential. Through hundreds of YouthBuild programs in the United States and around the globe, these young people pursue their education, prepare for future careers, and grow into community leaders.
